This is a book for those who want to take one step further than a phrase book, and learn something about the basics of the German language.It provides the basic grammer rules, some useful phrases, and some basic vocabulary.I got it because it’s the size of a thin paperback, and I wanted to develop an understanding of the language.I’m pleased with it, and if you’re starting from scratch and want a book to travel with you, you can’t beat it for being compact, useful, and at a good price point.
